Meet the Snow School Team

About the Snow School

The Snow School is a small family run business, born in 2010. Since this time we have had thousands of satisfied customers, with our reviews speaking volumes.

We work hard at The Snow School to provide our customers with a first class service and hope they in turn come back to ski with us year after year.

We have developed a very good understanding of what customers expect from their lessons, enabling us to design lesson programmes that are progressive, informative and fun.

We care about our customers and aim to give a personal touch with all our lessons.

Paul

Hello, I am Paul.

I learned to ski on dry slopes and soon became a member of my local race team in Brentwood, Essex. From the age of six to fifteen, I travelled across the UK competing in races, which laid the foundation for my technical skills and love for the sport.

My passion for snow sports truly took off in 2003, when I spent my first winter season in the Three Valleys. It was here that I trained to become a ski instructor and where I’ve spent the majority of my professional career.

I gained my BASI ISTD qualification in 2010, and since then I’ve built strong, long-lasting relationships with my clients, many of whom return year after year.

Outside of winter, I’m passionate about cycling and regularly take part in road races — including the Marmotte, one of the most iconic and challenging events in the Alps.

Filippo

My name is Filippo, I’m 22 years old, and skiing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started skiing at the age of three in Limone Piemonte, where my passion for the mountains and winter sports was born.

After a few years, I joined a ski club and began competing, an experience that helped shape me both as an athlete and as a person, teaching me discipline, determination, and commitment. At 18, I decided to follow my dream and enrolled in the ski instructor course, which I completed in just one year. Since the 2023/24 season, I’ve been working as a ski instructor, turning my greatest passion into my profession.

I believe that when you love what you do, it shows. I approach every day on the slopes with energy and a smile, always aiming to create a fun, positive, and memorable experience for my clients.

Outside of skiing, I’m an active and versatile person with a passion for sports, motors, and nature. Living by the sea, I enjoy spending my free time at the beach, playing padel, football, beach volleyball, and staying active whenever possible — I simply don’t like standing still.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing great moments on the slopes.

Giulio

I’m Giulio, a ski instructor who started skiing at the age of three and grew up in the Dolomites, where skiing is part of everyday life. I qualified in my early twenties and am now in my sixth season of teaching, working with all levels from beginners to advanced skiers, in both private and group lessons with international clients.

My teaching focuses on strong fundamentals, clear technique, and building confidence on snow. Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about the mountain environment and spend most of my free time outdoors through activities such as ski touring, mountaineering, via ferrata, and climbing. I also work as a data scientist, which influences my analytical and structured approach to coaching.

Arne

Nice to meet you! My name is Arne..

I started skiing at the age of five and began competing at nine, racing through to FIS level until I was nineteen, including two years with the Slovenian national team. After my racing career, I obtained my coaching licenses and began sharing my experience as an instructor in Slovenia, Italy, and France.

Outside of skiing, I’m passionate about travel and construction. In my free time, I enjoy arcade games, music, and discovering new places and experiences. Fun fact: I’m undefeated at UNO- No one has ever beaten me!

Riccardo

I’ve been skiing since the age of three, with a background in alpine ski racing that took me to the international FIS circuit. Alongside racing, I competed in freeride events, developing a strong balance between technique and instinct.

Certified as a Ski Instructor in 2011, I’ve coached skiers of all ages and levels and have previously worked as a coach at the Super Sci Milano Ski Club, helping young athletes grow both technically and mentally. My goal is to combine solid fundamentals with enjoyment, ensuring every lesson is effective, engaging, and unforgettable.

Interesting fact: When I was four, my ski instructor Carletto told my mother that one day I would become a strong competitor. Ten years later, at the Italian Championships, I crossed the finish line in first place during the second run — and there he was, my coach Carletto, now 80 years old, watching with pride.

It remains one of the most meaningful moments of my skiing life.

Simmone

Hi, my name is Simmone!

I started skiing at the age of four, introduced to the sport by my father, who has always been a passionate skier. From those first days on the slopes, skiing quickly became a central part of my life. After many years of dedicated training and racing, I qualified as a ski instructor in 2023.

When I’m not teaching or skiing, I love spending time in the mountains, especially on multi-day hikes where I can fully disconnect and experience nature. I enjoy carrying everything I need with me and spending nights in a tent, which has taught me resilience, planning, and respect for the alpine environment.

Alongside my work in the mountains, I study mechanical engineering—an interest that reflects my curiosity about how things work and helps me approach both skiing and problem-solving with a structured, analytical mindset.

Alessandro

Ciao! Hi, my name is Alessandro!

I first stepped onto skis at the age of three. I grew up on the snow, and skiing has been a natural part of my life ever since.

I qualified as a ski instructor in 2020. After starting my coaching journey in Italy, I moved to the Trois Vallées to keep building experience in one of the world’s most iconic ski areas.

Off the slopes, I’m all about movement and challenging gym sessions, runs, and staying active, plus I’ve got a strong interest in finance, which I studied at university.

I also love making fun, engaging videos from my adventures on and off the mountain, always with a bit of humour.
