Frequently Asked Questions
Which resort do you have snowboarding lessons from?
We operate out of all resorts for snowboard lessons.
How do I know what level I am?
Please check your levels on our snowboard levels chart.
Can you learn snowboarding without lessons?
You can try learning snowboarding without lessons, but it’s often much harder and more frustrating.
Without guidance, it’s easy to develop bad habits or miss key safety techniques. Lessons give you a strong foundation, helping you learn faster and fall less.
If you’re serious about progressing and enjoying your time on the mountain, lessons will save you time, effort and probably a few bruises.
How many lessons do you need to learn snowboarding?
The number of lessons needed to learn snowboarding depends on your fitness, coordination, and how often you practise.
Most beginners start feeling confident after 3 to 5 lessons, but real progress comes with consistency. A single lesson can introduce you to the basics, but if you want to ride comfortably on various slopes, a few more sessions will make a big difference.
Private or group lessons help speed up your learning by giving you proper technique from the start.
Is snowboarding safer than skiing?
Whether snowboarding is safer than skiing depends on the person and how they ride.
Beginners tend to fall more when snowboarding, but those falls are usually at lower speeds and involve fewer knee injuries than skiing. On the other hand, skiing can be easier to control early on, which may help some people avoid accidents.
With proper lessons, safety gear and awareness, both snowboarding and skiing can be enjoyed safely.
Does my lesson include a lift pass?
Ski passes are not included, they need to be purchased separately.
What type of clothing and equipment is suitable?
This really depends on the weather, but its always a good idea to have layers on that you can easily remove if you get too hot. We advise goggles with the option for sunglasses. Helmets are very important and advise everyone to wear one.
What if I need to cancel?
If you know you need to cancel your booking, please email us asap advising us of this and we will action in line to our terms and conditions.
Are private snowboard lessons worth it?
Yes, private snowboard lessons are absolutely worth it, especially if you want faster results or personal attention.
With one-to-one coaching, the instructor focuses entirely on your technique, goals, and confidence level. You’ll learn at your own pace, avoid bad habits early on, and cover more ground in less time.
Private lessons can be a great option for both first-timers and those looking to improve specific skills.
Is it difficult to learn snowboarding?
Snowboarding can feel tricky at first, especially when you’re getting used to balancing on one board. But once you get past the first few falls and start linking your turns, it becomes incredibly fun and rewarding.
Most beginners start to pick it up within a few lessons, especially with the help of a qualified instructor. The key is patience, good guidance and a positive attitude.
