Our Méribel-Mottaret ski school is the perfect place for skiers and snowboarders wanting to develop their skills. The friendly alpine hamlet of Mottaret offers superb skiing conditions, excellent facilities and unrivalled access to the Méribel valley and the wider Three Valleys, the largest linked ski area in the world.
We offer a great range of ski lessons tailored to your ability, helping you develop your skiing and build confidence whatever your level and experience.
With its high altitude (1,750-2,950m), our ski school in Mottaret benefits from plenty of quality snow for skiers and snowboarders throughout the season. Being at the summit of the valley also puts it in the best position for you to take full advantage of the 150km of ski slopes within the whole valley.
Beginners are well catered for with excellent nursery slopes to learn how to ski, special ZEN areas (quieter areas of slopes for those needing to develop their confidence) and a long flat green run leading to the centre of the village. Improvers and intermediate skiers have plenty of pistes to choose from, as do more advanced skiers looking for the challenge of black runs and off-piste skiing.
Mottaret also offers breathtaking views, excellent accommodation and facilities, and a relaxed village atmosphere that is perfect for families and après-ski.

Frequently Asked Questions
Private lessons are catered for all ages and abilities. If you like 1-2-1 instruction, or your party is 1–3 people who need lessons, this can be the most cost-effective way of learning.
We do not have a minimum age for private lessons, but we’d advise around 3–4 years old is a great age to start.
They are completely bespoke to you and your party and fast-track your learning. We can pick up and drop off at your desired location. Lessons are for up to 3 people at no extra cost.
Please visit our levels pages. With private lessons the instructor will check your level on the first day.
Ski passes are not included — they need to be purchased separately.
It depends on the weather, but layers you can easily remove are a good idea. We advise goggles with the option for sunglasses, and helmets are very important — we advise everyone to wear one.

Anything up to 8 people. The initial cost is for 1–3 people; anything after that is a small additional fee per person.
