Terms & Conditions
Version: July 2026
Welcome
Thank you for choosing to book with The Snow School. We pride ourselves on our reputation and customer satisfaction. This contract is governed and interpreted in accordance with English law. If anything is unclear, please contact us.
Bookings
It is the responsibility of clients to pay the fee in full before joining the class. No contract exists until we issue a booking confirmation accepting your payment.
Prices may be subject to change. Our prices are for ski instruction only — lift passes, equipment hire, accommodation and insurance are the client’s responsibility. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure adequate snowsports insurance before booking.
Payment
We accept all debit cards and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB) or bank transfer. All card transactions are made through a secure, encrypted terminal. Payment is due upon receipt of your invoice; after this period the booking is no longer secured.
Late arrivals
Instructors will wait a maximum of 30 minutes from the start of a private lesson at the agreed meeting point unless notified. For Family & Friends and group lessons, instructors will wait a maximum of 5 minutes.
Missed lessons
There are no refunds or substituted lessons for missed lessons, for any reason. If we are unable to provide services due to reasons outside our control (e.g. lift/resort closures or Force Majeure) a refund will not be issued, but we are happy to provide a letter for your insurance company.
Group lessons
Children’s group lessons require a minimum age of 5 and maximum of 15 at the time the course commences. Skiing level is assessed by the instructor, whose decision is final. Parents/guardians must inform us of any information affecting the child’s skiing, including medical history.
Please ensure everyone is booked into the correct level. If a participant is in the wrong level, or safety is a concern, we may remove them without a refund. Group lessons require a minimum of 2 people to run; otherwise we offer a switch to private lessons or shortened times (no refunds). Parents/guardians must make themselves known to the instructor and be on time to collect children — please arrive 15 minutes early.
Family & Friends group lessons
Your group needs to be of a similar skiing level. The level of the group’s ability is assessed by the instructor, whose decision is final.
Cancellations & refunds
If you need to cancel, the refund depends on how much notice you give before your first lesson: 28 days or more — 90% refunded; 16 to 27 days — 50% refunded; 15 days or fewer — no refund.
The notice period is counted to the date of your first lesson. A non-refundable card processing fee of 3% of the booking total is deducted from any refund.
Cancellations can be made in writing or by telephone. The date of cancellation is the date it is received by the company, not the date sent by the client.
No refund is given for a lesson missed, joined late or left early. If you cannot attend because of illness or injury, please claim through your travel insurance — we are happy to provide a letter to support your claim.
