Our Mottaret ski school is the perfect place for skiers and snowboarders wanting to develop their skills. We offer a great range of ski lessons tailored to your ability.
The friendly alpine hamlet of Mottaret welcomes visitors and families with superb skiing conditions, excellent accommodation and facilities, and unrivalled access to the slopes in the Meribèl valley and the wider Three Valleys region: the largest linked ski area in the world. It is the perfect spot to develop your skiing and build confidence, whatever your level and experience.
With its high altitude (1,750-2,950m), our ski school in Mottaret guarantees plenty of quality snow for skiers and snowboarders throughout the season. Being at the summit of the valley also puts it in the best position for you to take full advantage of the 150km of ski slopes within the whole valley.
Beginners are well catered for with excellent nursery slopes to learn how to ski, special ZEN areas (quieter areas of slopes for those needing to develop their confidence) and a long flat green run leading to the centre of the village. Improvers / intermediate skiers have plenty of pistes to choose from, as do more advanced skiers looking for the challenge of black runs and off-piste skiing. Mottaret offers great skiing alongside breathtaking views, and a relaxed village atmosphere perfect for après-ski.

Number of Runs: Mottaret offers a good variety of ski runs for different skill levels:
- 8 Green runs (beginner-friendly)
- 36 Blue runs (intermediate)
- 23 Red runs (advanced)
- 9 Black runs (expert)
Altitude: High elevation at 1,750 meters, providing excellent snow reliability throughout the season.
Longest Run: The Combe Vallon is a famous red run, one of the longest in the Méribel Valley.
Off-piste, ski touring and cross-country: Excellent off-piste terrain for freeride enthusiasts. Multiple trails are available for cross-country skiing within the area.
Snowpark: Mottaret has access to a snowpark with jumps, rails, and obstacles for freestyle skiing and snowboarding.
